MediaMixer powers the Spiritual beta (designed for mobile – now testing – on desktop, narrow your browser window) and soon other “what’s new today” niche themed apps for our nonprofit, educational, commercial, and other partners.
At our launch, we’re focused on curating podcasts (on-demand audio) and YouTube video channels with future modules pulling in “new today” content via APIs, RSS feeds, and more.
Directly informed by our 2 million TV News Channels mobile app installs (curating YouTube videos) and 1 Radio News (podcasts) experience, we make it easy for curators to highlight what’s new today from the best sources of audio, video, and more new content from well vetted sources.
A unified backend allows you to select and curate the best podcasts and YouTube channels and assign them to a niche set of categories.
The results – a simple and easy to use mobile app experience for your end-user community.
Contact us for a tour … especially to see the user-centric backend beyond the end-user experience that you can try out today.
(The admin will support your own custom app instance – app name, logo, curated podcast and video channels, niche categories, color scheme, etc.)
Under-the-hood, the resulting front-end delivers a web-based “Progressive Web App” at a domain URL that you own.
Optionally, the mobile-first experience can be ported from one unified code base to the Apple App Store and Google Play. We even help you navigate challenging app store approvals.*
* Organizations curating content for their member communities “for good” have the best chance for Google Play and Apple App Store approval. Curating content sources based on podcasting standards and the YouTube terms of service (which allows embedded players) is wonderful, but not an opportunity to plaster advertising around other’s content that you do not own.
